PHYSICAL THERAPY  Products for Veterinarians

The positive THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS of warm water have always been highly acclaimed.  By adding the mild to moderate pressure created by the 8 adjustable jets, the animals receive a comfortable massage, increasing blood flow, promoting endorphin release and general relaxation.

Whirlpool treatments are safe and extremely effective.  Incorporating the VetSystems LIFT with CUSTOM SLINGS provides complete and comfortable control not only while placing the animal into and out of the whirlpool but for other procedures as well.  Talk to us about how easily the LIFT protects the animal and the tech's from slips and falls while eliminating most lifting injuries.

“Rover Gets Rehab”

www.UtahAnimalCareCenter.Com

No, it's not a Betty Ford clinic for Benji; it's the first of its kind physical rehabilitation center for animals in Utah.  Dr. Pam Epperson, director of the Animal Care Center in West Bountiful (698 W 500 S), and her staff invite you to the Grand Opening of their new facilities Saturday, May 31st from 11 am to 3 pm.

Utah now joins the growing list of states to offer such rehab services for animals.  Dr. Pam sees this as a natural continuation of animal care.  "I see more and more owners viewing their pets as beloved family members. Often around here these animals also perform valuable services to the family - whether on the farm rounding up cattle or sheep, or as pointers and retrievers during hunting. These owners are not about to give up on years of training when the dog's lameness and pain is treatable with rehabilitation."

Come see demonstrations of the heated hydrotherapy pool with electrical stimulation (outfitted with a hydraulic lift for those terra-firma loving terriers), as well as the state-of-the-art ultrasound therapy unit, and the specially designed doggy treadmill.  Learn animal massage techniques on the room-size mats from one of the center's specially trained staff. Refreshments will be available, as well as a chance to enter a drawing to win a pen and ink animal drawing by noted Utah artist Val Bagley.

For more information, please contact Dr. Pam Epperson at 801-294-5960 or via email at: DogDoc@xmission.Com ; or contact Vanessa Hamilton-Highfield at 801-390-5016.
